The Swiss Renewable Energy Mountain Bike Tour is more than just great rides through beautiful nature. It brings together people working on renewable energy to share ideas and work together on accelerating the energy transition.

08.30 h	Get-together at Fled-Beck, Ludretikonerstrasse 67, Thalwil (arrival by train or boat, followed by a short bike ride; if arriving by car, use the parking spaces at Brandgasse 3, Thalwil)

This year’s tour starts at a bakery near Thalwil train station and takes us up to the Zimmerberg, where we’ll enjoy a fantastic view over Lake Zurich. A big thank you to Roland Leuenberger from Axpo for scouting the route!

The ride is mostly on easy single trails, so we’ll keep a relaxed pace and have plenty of time for good conversations along the way. Our apéro spot will be near Richterswil – from there, you can either take the train or ride back to Thalwil, depending on what you feel like.

While the route itself is easy, please bring a proper mountain or gravel bike (no city bikes). A basic fitness level is perfectly sufficient. Most participants will be on bio-bikes. If you’d like to join with an e-bike, please check in advance with Malte or Martin – we just want to make sure it’s powered by renewable energy. We recommend bringing a light backpack with water, a snack, and a light jacket in case of wind or rain. And for your own safety, please don’t forget your helmet!
