Vera de Vries

Vera de Vries joined schilling partners ag in 2024 as partner in the industry sector. Her expertise in the industry and years of experience, combined with a broad industry network make her a valuable partner for clients and candidates.

Her career began at a global technology and energy company, where she led a research and development department in the field of robotics and automation. She then took on the role of sales and marketing head in a medium sized intralogistics company. Her passion for business development and people eventually led her to become the industrial automation business leader in Switzerland at a globally active company providing digital automation and energy solutions.

Vera de Vries studied mechanical engineering at EPF Lausanne and ETH Zurich. She then attained her PhD at the department of mechanical engineering at ETH Zurich. Later, she complemented her technical education with an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

In addition to her native German, Vera de Vries speaks fluent English at negotiation level and very good French. She has basic knowledge in Italian.

She enjoys people with a good sense of humor and inspiring stories, as well as being active and travelling the world. Therefore, she dedicates her free time to various sports and culinary and cultural explorations – preferably in good company.
